Business enquiries with a checked UID straight into bexio

No made-up companies, no typos. A company sends an enquiry through your website form and enters its UID. The UID check validates it right away against the federal UID register, the bexio form connector creates the enquiry as a company contact in bexio: with company name and address from the register and the check result as a note.

What it does

  • Checks the UID in the Contact Form 7 form: format and check digit instantly, status in the federal UID register
  • Unknown and deleted companies do not get through, the form shows a clear message
  • A new enquiry becomes a company contact in bexio. Company name and address come from the UID register where the form leaves them empty; entries in the form take precedence
  • The UID is stored in the contact’s remarks, because the bexio interface offers no UID field of its own
  • The note contains the form text and the check result: UID, status, company name, legal form, address, VAT registration and the time of the check
  • Existing contacts (same email address) stay unchanged and only get the note
  • If the UID register cannot be reached, an enquiry with a correct check digit still goes through; the note says “not verified”

Who it is for

Swiss companies that sell to other companies, have an enquiry form with Contact Form 7 on their WordPress website and manage their customers in bexio: manufacturers, wholesalers, service providers and agencies.

Price

  • bexio form connector: CHF 19 per month, free for 30 days, then billed annually, cancellable at any time to the end of a month
  • UID Check Switzerland: free in the WordPress plugin directory
  • The bexio version of the UID check (79 CHF per year) is not needed for this, it is for WooCommerce orders

Install

Download, free for 30 days

  1. Install the free base UID Check Switzerland from wordpress.org, version 0.3.0 or later.
  2. Upload the form connector ZIP under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and activate it. Contact Form 7 must be active.
  3. Add the field [text* uid placeholder "CHE-123.456.789"] to the form and click “Connect to bexio” under Settings → Form Inquiries for bexio. The 30-day trial starts then.
